9 Things We're Going To Need IF A Destiny’s Child Reunion Tour Really Is On Deck

Rumor has it that Destiny’s Child is planning a reunion tour for 2020! Nothing has been confirmed, but we hace some things we’re going to need to see IF the ladies decide to hit the road together again….

That’s right!

Fans all over the world may have the chance to see Beyonce Knowles Carter, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams back together again…if the rumor holds any water. While all of the reports are simply rumors and none of the group members have confirmed, we’ve compiled a list of things we would love to see IF a DC Reunion Tour was coming down the pipeline.

Let’s get into it:

It took me a minute to wrap my head around this milestone. I still remember the day the “advance” for this Destiny’s Child album landed on my desk, twenty years ago, with @mrmathewknowles saying, “This is going to make history.” He was right. Thank you Destiny’s Child for giving me a ticket on this historical journey.

  1. DC5

We know that Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle have become the household names of the group, but it would be fantastic to see a reunion including original members LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson as well. LeToya and LaTavia were instrumental in some of our favorite early Destiny’s Child bops including “No No No,” “Bills Bills Bills,” and “Bug-A-Boo." The Houston tour stop would be a perfect place for this. Just throwing it out there.

  2. Mama Tina Originals

Tina Knowles Lawson, Beyonce’s mother, served as Destiny’s Child stylist for many years and it would be cool to see her work on a few lewks for this tour. The ladies are grown grown and would definitely have different ideas about their looks, but it might be cute to let Mama Tina throw a little razzle dazzle in the mix for old times sake. Yall know she loved a bedazzling gun.

  2. New Music

There is no way this tour can happen without new music. Destiny’s Child has timeless music that we’ve all learned to love, however, hearing new music from the trio will always be a treat. We’ve been teased with both Kelly and Michelle’s solo albums that include collaborations with all three members, but it’s not quite the same. Get in the studio ladies!

  3. The Vocals!

No matter who you are, you have to recognize that the DC girls can SANG! Their mics are on! While all of the ladies have proven time and time again to be powerhouses by themselves, there’s nothing like some good old DC harmonies. Alexa, play “If."

  4. Blue Ivy, Sir & Rumi, and Titan

Both Bey and Kelly are pretty private when it comes to their babies, but it would be fun to see some clips of Destiny’s Child’s chil’ren.

  5. The B-Sides

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 20 years, you can probably name Destiny’s Child hits like “Say My Name” and “Cater 2 U.” However, the real stans know that some of DC’s best tracks are the deep cuts. If you’re not familiar, check out “Confessions," “Is She The Reason," “Through With Love,” and “Bridges."

  6. The guys from the "Soldier" video

We know the ladies are (mostly) taken, but hear us out. Some of us are still looking for a soldier. Just watch the video for a reminder.

I never went to college, because I was touring. Had I gone, it would have MOST DEFINITELY BEEN AN HBCU! For my highschoolers out there, who have the opportunity to, choose an HBCU! Everyone I know who has, BRAGS about the experience and I soak up every story and pretend I was there. I didn’t have to pretend in rehearsals, I had a glimpse of the feeling. Thank you sis, for an experience I WILL NEVER FORGET! I love you, genius! If you haven’t yet seen Homecoming, check it out! Let me know what you think! #BRILLIANT!! #HONEST #LOVE

  7. The choreography

These girls dance down! This has been apparent since we first saw the girls dance in the "No, No, No" video. We were reminded last year during Bey’s historic Homecoming performance that the ladies have not fell off one bit.

  8. Black Girl Magic

Whether the rumors are true or not, one thing we know is that Destiny’s Child has always represented womanhood and empowerment and have always made us feel good and proud to be black girls. Many of us have watched them grow from the country girls from Houston to moguls and running empires of their own. To see what these women have become is inspiring and motivating, to say the least.

While nothing is set in stone, are we already practicing our “Lose My Breath” choreo just in case? We can certainly hope and wish for a miracle.

If DC decided to to do a Reunion Tour, what would YOU like to see in it?!
